Connect an AI assistant to your trips

Ask what’s coming up tomorrow, what the booking reference for the bus was, or have your assistant add the hotel you just booked. Add Wayloom to your assistant, sign in once, and choose whether it may only read or also make changes. You can disconnect it at any time.

Server URL https://app.wayloomapp.com/mcp

What an assistant can and can’t do

A connection reaches your account only, and nothing else in Wayloom.

  • Reads your trips Trips, plans with their times and places, to-dos, cancellation deadlines, and your documents — including what a document says, such as a passport.
  • Changes them only if you allow it When you connect, Wayloom asks whether the assistant may also add, change and delete. That includes deleting a plan, a to-do, a document, a to-do group, or a whole trip with everything in it, so it is worth reading what it proposes before you say yes. To change your answer, disconnect it and connect again.
  • Keeps your secrets Door codes, PINs and anything else marked secret come back hidden, in Wayloom and in anything the assistant is shown.
  • Stops when you say so Disconnect it in Settings → Connected apps and it loses access immediately. Wayloom emails you whenever a new app is connected.

What an assistant reads leaves Wayloom and is then handled by whoever runs it, under their terms and privacy policy. See Wayloom’s privacy policy.

Setup

Pick your assistant

Every assistant works the same way: give it the server URL, and it opens Wayloom so you can sign in. Wayloom shows which app is asking and where its access goes, and you choose read only or read and change. There is no key to copy.

Connected apps appear in Wayloom under Settings → Connected apps.

  1. On chatgpt.com, turn on Developer mode in Settings → Security and login.
  2. Create an app for a remote MCP server with the server URL https://app.wayloomapp.com/mcp and OAuth as its authentication.
  3. Sign in to Wayloom when ChatGPT asks, then pick the app from Developer mode in a chat’s plus menu.

Needs a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education plan, on the web. Reference: OpenAI’s developer mode guide.

Questions

Which ones have actually been tested?

Claude Code. The others follow their own documented way of adding a remote MCP server that you sign in to, and each step above links to their documentation, but nobody has run all of them end to end yet. If one of them turns out not to work, it will be corrected here rather than left standing.

Can I use an API key instead?

No. Keys were replaced by signing in: nothing to copy or leak, and every connection shows up in Settings with where its access goes. An assistant that only accepts a pasted key can’t connect.

The assistant can’t connect, or nothing happens

The URL must be https://app.wayloomapp.com/mcp — this page, on wayloomapp.com, is only the instructions. If the assistant asks for a client id or a key, leave it empty and choose OAuth. And if you disconnected it, or didn’t use it for 30 days, connect it again.

Can an assistant see my documents?

Yes: their names, and what they say when you ask it to, passports included. One you allowed to change things can also add a document to a trip and delete one. When it adds a file, the file goes straight to Wayloom rather than through the assistant, and assistants that can’t upload hand you a link that opens Add document in the app instead.

What does it cost?

Nothing from Wayloom’s side. Whatever your assistant costs is between you and whoever runs it.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

Settings → Connected apps → disconnect it. Access stops immediately. Changing your password does not do it for you, so disconnect any you no longer recognise; after a password reset, Wayloom lists the apps still connected so you can check them.

Connect one and try it

Read only unless you say otherwise, and yours to disconnect at any time.
